Skiddaw reflected

Article text
Situated in the northern Lake District, Skiddaw is the sixth highest mountain in England. On a still, frosty morning at the end of October I made my way up a hillside to Tewet Tarn, planning to photograph a reflection of the mountain. I needed wellington boots to wade into the edge of the tarn in order to use this trio of rocks as foreground. My reward was not only a perfect reflection but also a fantastic interplay of subtle light as dawn approached, turning the mountain first pink and then gold.
