Misty dawn, Avebury
Located only five miles from my house, the World Heritage Site of Avebury is one of the places I photograph most often. Out of numerous winter sunrises, I chose this image made on a damp Boxing Day morning. The fog adds to the mystery of the stones, screening any sign of the 21st century. As it began to break up, a little dawn colour shone through.
